3. Houston Texans

The Texans still have a greater need along the offensive line, but they’re also still struggling to find consistent production at wide receiver beyond DeAndre Hopkins. Will Fuller, Keke Coutee and Kenny Stills, though it’s still early with Stills after his acquisition from the Miami Dolphins, don’t look like the answer to that issue.

Houston has no concerns regarding cap space, with nearly $21.6 million available right now for this year and $88.1 million in cap space (fourth-most in the league right now) for 2020. While quarterback Deshaun Watson is still on his rookie contract, the time to strike is now and head coach/current de facto general manager Bill O’Brien showed he knows it with the deal to get left tackle Laremy Tunsil and Stills from Miami.

Hopkins and Diggs would easily form the best wide receiver duo in the NFL. Trading for Diggs would give the Texans a serious leg up in what’s shaping up to be a competitive/mediocre AFC South, and the opportunity is there to make the move.
