Here’s all the information you need for the October 4, 2019 Friday Night SmackDown debut on FOX.

The long-awaited moment has finally arrived. WWE returns to Friday nights, with the debut of SmackDown on FOX. Two nights before the Hell In A Cell pay per view, the premier will be headlined by a defense of the WWE Championship.

Brock Lesnar made his intentions well-known two weeks ago, when he surprised Kofi Kingston and challenged him for the WWE Championship. He then attacked Kingston and hit him with an F-5 that left him in a heap in the middle of the ring. The champion holds to his story that he accepted the challenge because he vowed to be a fighting champion.

So he’ll get a chance to prove that claim on Friday night, when he defends the WWE Championship against the man who has made a career of leaving broken bodies in his path. Can Kingston continue his reign as champion, or will Lesnar kick off the blue brand’s debut on FOX by adding another championship reign to his resume?

After months of unrest between Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens, things will finally come to a crashing halt this Friday night. The two have agreed to face off in a ladder match on the SmackDown debut on Fox, but with a couple of huge stipulations. The first being that this will be a ladder match. And hanging above the ladder will be the equivalent of the key to the city. The loser of this ladder match must leave WWE. Can Shane-O-Mac pull off the upset, or will KO send him packing?

And what better way to kick off the new era of SmackDown, than to bring back the man that started it all? It appears that none other than The Rock will be making a grand appearance on Friday night, as he took to his Twitter page to reclaim his status as the “People’s Champ.”

In addition to all of that, you will also see the Four Horsewomen of WWE go to war. Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and Bayley helped revolutionize women’s wrestling, and get away from the “diva” run that had been in place. Now they do battle to see who reigns supreme. Can Lynch and Flair continue their dominance, or will the recently reunited Bayley and Banks emerge victorious?
