NXT UK recap, October 3: Shine bright like a wizard
By Jeremy Klein
The Wolfe
Saxon Huxley looks straight out of a fantasy RPG. Like, you could run into Huxley in a dungeon outside Whiterun. Huxley gets waylaid in his personal hero’s quest for spiritual gold however, bumping into the so-called “hatchet man” of Imperium, Alexander Wolfe.
Wolfe taking a loss on television (at least in NXT UK) is hard to imagine with Imperium’s current reign of dominance. Wolfe taking a loss on television to Huxley is even harder to imagine. Alexander Wolfe does not lose on television to Saxon Huxley.
Huxley has the crowd behind him throughout. Chants of “Let’s go Jesus” fill the arena, as the Cardiff crowd tries to will the messiah along on his mythical journey. As Wolfe seemingly says at one point in the match though, “Not today, Jesus.”
There’s a quick and hopeful burst of offense from Huxley, but Wolfe is too good, too motivated by the prospect of inflicting pain. He hits a sit-out powerbomb to defeat Huxley and force him to wait for the loading screen to respawn.
