1. Tennessee Titans

The Titans are not committed to Marcus Mariota beyond this season, and he’s pretty clearly not the long-term answer for them under center. But they also won’t be bad enough this year to get one of the top quarterbacks in next year’s draft, so in some respect, they could be stuck in the middle with no real answer.

Tennessee has some intriguing pieces on the offensive side of the ball, from running back Derrick Henry (assuming he’s back next year, as a looming free agent) to wide receivers Corey Davis and A.J. Brown. But they are being held back by Mariota, and the lackluster options that have filled in for him when he has been injured to this point. If the Titans are to find a new level, and not possibly go backward with a reset to a rookie in 2020, an upgrade under center is an easy path to get there.

In some physical respects, Bridgewater looks just as limited as Mariota does. But the intangibles are there with Bridgewater in a way Mariota hasn’t shown, and the Titans need to seek that kind of leader at the most important position on the team heading toward 2020.
