Fantasy Football picks: Week 6 TNF Patriots vs. Giants

Game theory is something that I have had to really work on going into this season, and it really takes your game to the next level once you start to get the hang of it. With single-game slates, game theory is a little bit different due to the 1.5x MVP point slot. Usually, this spot is used for the most popular play on the slate, which is normally a quarterback. However, I will tell you a little secret, very rarely do chalk MVP quarterbacks win you a single game tourney.

Game theory for this Thursday night match-up is going to be pretty similar among most in cash games. Playing Tom Brady in the MVP spot will likely be the chalkiest option, with the next being Edelman. Both of these men are amazing options, with the Giants struggling against the pass. Personally I prefer Edelman. He comes at slightly lower ownership, with great upside. In GPP’s I really like Michel in the bonus spot.

This is the perfect storm for him, with Burkhead looking questionable, and the Patriots likely playing ahead for the whole game. They may lean on the run more, and he should see plenty of carries. You can even play a guy like Golden Tate, or Slayton in the MVP position. That’s a deep tournament play if making multiple lineups they could do very well at low ownership if used as the MVP.
