DFS fantasy football: Week 6 start/sit advice
DFS fantasy football Quarterbacks to Start
Gardner Minshew (JAX) vs. NO
Who would’ve thought that the starting quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars would be Gardner Minshew? I honestly never even heard of his name prior to Nick Foles’ injury in Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Since Minshew took over as Jacksonville’s signal-caller, he’s been fairly impressive considering the manner in which he was thrown into the line of fire so quickly. Over the last two weeks, Minshew ranks eighth in DFS fantasy football points per game (19.0), seventh in total passing yards (587), and tied for fourth in passing touchdowns (4). The Jaguars will be hosting a New Orleans Saints’ defense that has not been too solid to say the least towards preventing quarterbacks from scoring fantasy points against them (26.20/gm). Minshew can also do a lot of damage on the ground and the Saints are not very good versus mobile quarterbacks this year allowing 21.80 rushing yards per game (fifth-worst).
Kyler Murray (ARI) vs. ATL
Between Week’s 3 through 5, Murray ranks as QB6 in that span averaging 20.8 fantasy points per game. He’s also completed just over 67.0% of his passes for a grand total of 667 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions. The young mobile rookie quarterback also has shown his agility with his legs, being second to only Lamar Jackson in total rushing yards (206). The Falcons have been a very generous defense against opposing passers thus far, surrendering the third-most fantasy points per game (27.40). Murray’s recent production puts him right in the center of the discussion involving which quarterback to start in fantasy this week.
Matthew Stafford (DET) @ GB
Stafford has been one of the most efficient passers of the 2019 regular season. Up to this point, he is QB8 and has thrown nine touchdowns against only two interceptions this season. It’s apparent that Stafford’s struggles from 2018 stem from some back issues he was repeatedly dealing with causing many to avoid him in drafts this year. Now that’s all behind him and he’s back to putting up big numbers in fantasy. This week the Lions will be visiting their rivals the Green Bay Packers. While they have improved their secondary from years past, I still am leery about how strong it really is. The Eagles torched the Packers back in Week 4 and they were pretty shaky in Week 5 as Dak Prescott threw for 426 passing yards. The gunslinger Stafford looks to be in line for another big passing yard performance in this NFC North showdown.
