DFS fantasy football – Defenses to Sit

Texans Defense vs. KC

In a highly anticipated affair with lots of scoring involved, the Houston Texans’ defense would make sense to leave on your bench this upcoming week. The Texans have been pretty shaky this season and with an electric offense like the Kansas City Chiefs coming to town, it may behoove you to avoid starting them this week. Also, keep in mind that the speedy Tyreek Hill is expected to be back adding some much extra juice to this stacked offense. The Texans are a defense I would not touch with a ten-foot pole for this week.

Chiefs Defense @ HOU

I’m pretty much making the same argument here with the Chiefs as well too. Kansas City’s defense hasn’t improved much from last season, and now they are going up against a quarterback who threw five touchdown passes last week against the Falcons. This will be an extremely exciting match-up to watch between Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson, this game should be for the ages in terms of offense. As defenses are concerned, this is a game where I’d avoid both the Chiefs and the Texans at all costs.

Buccaneers Defense vs. CAR

While I have noticed Tampa’s improvement on the defensive side of the ball, they still aren’t near the point where I can confidently start them in my lineup. After seeing how Christian McCaffrey shredded Jacksonville’s defense last week for three touchdowns and a grand total of 237 yards, the Buccaneers are in for some pain. Put together the fact that at least one team suffers from jet-lag in these games from the past, the risk of Tampa’s defense underperforming is too great to chance. I’d keep it safe and avoid starting them this week if I were you.
