Fantasy Football 2019: Buy Low, Sell High or Hold?

Stefon Diggs – Buy Low

Kirk Cousins doesn’t seem to be looking Diggs’ way this season. Most of his targets have gone to Adam Thielen. Diggs has just one good game in week 4, seven catches for 108 yards.

Diggs hinted at there being rumors that he wants out of Minnesota. The Patriots could use a pass catcher. It makes sense. Even if Diggs isn’t moved, I think his production will improve going forward. The Vikings face the Eagles, Lions and Redskins in their next three games, all three with poor secondaries.

DJ Chark – Sell High

Many thought the Jaguars offense would fall off when Nick Foles went down. Turns out, they should have been starting Gardner Minshew all along. He’s helped keep Leonard Fournette’s production high as well as giving the receiving corps some life.

One of those receivers is Chark. He has 27 receptions for 485 yards and five touchdowns. He is the No. 5 scoring receiver in PPR leagues, but can he keep it up?

The Jaguars offense is not as consistent as other teams. While they have scored at least 20 points in four of their first five games, they’re 2-2 in those games. I don’t think this lasts, so you can sell Chark for a different receiver, like Allen Robinson, or an upgrade at a different position.

DeAndre Hopkins – Hold

Hopkins was one of the first receivers drafted in leagues this season. Yet, he is ranked 17th in PPR scoring. After his big 31-point game in Week 1, Hopkins has scored a combined 44.6 points in the next four games.

Deshaun Watson hasn’t been the most accurate quarterback this season, 69.2 completion percentage, and has been under pressure a lot already, sacked 18 times. But I think there are better times ahead.

Will Fuller showed up big in week 5. If he can continue to make big plays and the running duo of Duke Johnson and Carlos Hyde stay effective, Hopkins will have his games.

If you trade him for someone who has put up big numbers, you don’t get those stats. Hopkins and the Texans have a pretty favorable schedule leading up to the fantasy playoffs.
