Fantasy Football picks: Week 6 SNF Steelers vs. Chargers

Juju Smith-Schuster – This is basically the last man standing for Pittsburgh, outside of Conner. Even with a backup quarterback, Schuster didn’t really see a drop in production. The targets have remained at around seven per game, and he has had two scores in the past three weeks.

It is difficult to say what the Steelers offense will do with a third stringer. They could be safe and try and run the ball more often, which would leave JuJu on the outside looking in. Either way, that mentality will not last long if they can’t score, which would force them to play from behind, and throw the ball anyway.

The price tag on the the Steeler players are down, which is why I like them. The Chargers also rank 25th in the league, with a 20.1% DVOA against the pass. This is a good spot for JuJu if Hodges can get him the ball.

James Conner – Speaking of Conner, we have to assume that he sees a massive workload in this game. He is finally showing signs of life, scoring in the past two weeks. His rushing work has left very little to be desired however, as James has eclipsed 50 rushing yards in just one game.

That was last week against Baltimore, where he got 55 yards. Of course, he has not been getting nearly the same amount of work as he did last season. Conner has not gotten any more than 14 carries in any game.

While the Chargers have a pretty solid defense, this is a case of Conner just needing to carry the offense. The Steelers have no choice but to play him with a third string quarterback.
