Fantasy Football picks: Week 6 SNF Steelers vs. Chargers

Game theory is something that I have had to really work on going into this season, and it really takes your game to the next level once you start to get the hang of it. With single-game slates, game theory is a little bit different due to the 1.5x MVP point slot.

Usually, this spot is used for the most popular play on the slate, which is normally a quarterback. However, I will tell you a little secret, very rarely do chalk MVP quarterbacks win you a single game tourney.

Usually, this spot is used for the most popular play on the slate, which is normally a quarterback. However, I will tell you a little secret, very rarely do chalk MVP quarterbacks win you a single game tourney.

I will open up this section by saying that at 1% ownership, you have the ability to play a guy in your MVP spot today, that could win you a tournament. That’s right, Chris Boswell, the kicker. Kickers lives do matter people, or at least they do for this slate.

I can guarantee you that no other single game article out there is touting a kicker in the bonus spot. Pittsburgh will struggle to score touchdowns, that a fact. With a third string quarterback, you have to temper expectations. The Chargers have a good defense as well. That does not mean that the Steelers wont get into kicking range however.

They are good enough to drive down the field, which is perfect because Boswell is going to have ample opportunities to score. Keep in mind also, this could be a low scoring game. The Steelers have been good on defense lately, the Chargers have been all over the place on offense.

You will need the stars to align in order for Boswell too pay off in the bonus, so please do not play him there in cash games. Instead, go with a safer option such as James Conner who will also be getting plenty of work today. You can also play Allen, or Rivers there as well, both of which should see some decent ownership.
