The early-week consensus odds for Week 7 of the 2019 NFL season features five home underdogs and two double-digit favorites.
Well, we’re (nearly) halfway there; yes, the second half of the 2019 NFL season is rapidly approaching. Six weeks are in the books, with the past Sunday’s slate of action some of the most entertaining and unpredictable of the season.
We still have two undefeated teams, with the 6-0 New England Patriots besting the New York Giants on Thursday night and the San Francisco 49ers improving to 5-0 after defeating Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Meanwhile, Washington ended its slide, picking up its first victory of the season over the then-and-still winless Miami Dolphins.
In the “big surprises” category, the Kansas City Chiefs dropped their second game in a row — and again at home, no less — against a surging Houston Texans squad, while it was too little, too late for the Dallas Cowboys to orchestrate a comeback, falling to the New York Jets in Sam Darnold’s return under center.
These all make for interesting narratives ahead of Week 7’s slate, and it also makes for some interesting consensus odds. Here they are for Week 7. Note: The Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers will be on bye.
