Daily fantasy golf: FanDuel picks – The 2019 CJ Cup at Nine Bridges
Welcome to this daily fantasy golf piece from FanSided Fantasy. Here you will find players to target on FanDuel for this week’s CJ Cup, taking place at The Club at Nine Bridges in Jeju Do, South Korea.
In this article, I will present to you some picks to consider from each price tier for daily fantasy golf on FanDuel. Some plays will be geared toward cash games, and some for GPP tournaments. Some, of course, will also technically qualify as both.
As we break each play down, I will be sure to specify which type of contests I am targeting that player in. I will give my top players to target from $11K up to the top salary, my top targets from the $10K-$11K range, and finally those from the $9-10K range.
After that will be my top value plays from the $8-9K range, along with a couple of GPP flyers to consider for tournament play if the slate calls for it. Last but certainly not least, I will end the article the ever-popular sample lineup we like to do here at FanSided Fantasy.
This upcoming season it looks like it will not be free content, but If you are ever curious as to how things worked out last week and so far this season, my picks along with the other top experts in the field are tracked at Daily Overlay.
After another lackluster week of making picks on my end, we finally move on to my favorite part of the fall swing, and that is the Asian Swing. The PGA Tour heads to South Korea this week for the 3rd annual CJ Cup at Nine Bridges, the first of three events taking place in the Far East over the next three weeks. This is our first no-cut event of the new season, so at the very least I can guarantee you all of my picks will make the weekend this time around 🙂
We have a field of 78, and the majority of it is made up of as many golfers who finished inside the top-60 of last year’s FedEx Cup Standings who are available and choose to play. The remainder of the field is made up of the most recent winners on the Korean and Asian Tours, along with other Korean and Asian Tour golfers of merit, and eight sponsor exemptions.
The Club at Nine Bridges is a par-72, roughly 7,200-yard challenging course. We have seen elite ball-strikers in Justin Thomas and Brooks Koepka come away victorious in the first two years of the existence of this event. It is an island course, so the wind will be a factor. With some unforgiving rough and water in play on four holes, GIR and staying out of the penalty areas and thick rough will be key here. Remember to check out our course breakdown from @3putts4par for a more in-depth look.
I am going to key in on those who have played well here at the CJ Cup the last couple of years, as well as those who are in good recent form, so let’s get started!
