Safety. San Francisco 49ers. Xavier McKinney. 31. player. 42.

Through the first six weeks of the 2019 NFL season, there remains only one unbeaten team in the NFC. While many would have guess that would be the Los Angeles Rams, Dallas Cowboys, or even the Green Bay Packers when the season began, it is actually the San Francisco 49ers who currently hold that title heading into Week 7.

The 49ers have been outstanding on both sides of the ball this season, as they have proven they can certainly win with a healthy Jimmy Garoppolo. While Jimmy G has done a nice job running the offense, it has actually been the defense that has been elite this season, and they should continue to add to the group with their first round pick next April.

With the No. 31 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the 49ers should select Xavier McKinney, and elite safety prospect out of Alabama. There are only a few safeties with a first round grade heading into the draft, and in McKinney, they would bring in a guy who could be a real menace in the middle of what is currently an outstanding defensive backfield.

32. player. 47. . Quarterback. New England Patriots. Jacob Eason

The New England Patriots are once again the class of the NFL, as they are currently the only AFC team left with an unblemished record. Quarterback Tom Brady is showing  no signs of slowing down, and while he continues to produce at an advanced age in terms of the NFL, the team has to start considering life after him.

During the 2019 NFL Draft, they spent a fourth round pick on Jarrett Stidham, a solid quarterback from Auburn. However, the Patriots, who are currently picking last in round one, will have to bring in a few arms to see who takes over eventually for Brady, and Jacob Eason from Washington is a guy who should find himself in the first, or early second round come the 2020 NFL Draft.

While Stidham may end up being a good signal-caller at the NFL level, if Eason is available with the last pick of the first round, he would be a great value play for the Patriots. Brady is not getting any younger, and the real question for this franchise will be how they fare once he decides to hang up the cleats in a few years.
