Fantasy football picks: Week 7 TNF Broncos vs. Chiefs

Game theory is something that I have had to really work on going into this season, and it really takes your game to the next level once you start to get the hang of it. With single-game slates, game theory is a little bit different due to the 1.5x MVP point slot. Usually, this spot is used for the most popular play on the slate, which is normally a quarterback. However, I will tell you a little secret, very rarely do chalk MVP quarterbacks win you a single game tourney.

As you all know I really enjoy digging into game theory for these slates. The popular cash game routes are to play Mahomes, or Kelce as the MVP. They both have high floors and high ceilings which is why they make sense there. For those of us that want more of an edge, Joe Flacco is a great pivot as the MVP. I think he throws a lot, and could have success depending on which version of him shows up. He also gets a healthy Emmanuel Sanders to target, which has been a popular option this season. I also like Royce Freeman in the bonus. I can say that very few people will have the stones to play him as the MVP, which gives up a clear advantage in ownership. He has solid upside, especially if the game script goes as I think it will. Make sure you pair him with Flacco though because Royce is a good receiver. Throw in Mahomes or Kelce and you have yourself a solid lineup, that can stand out at the MVP position.
