DFS Advice – Quarterbacks to Start

Jimmy Garoppolo (SF) @ WSH

While Garoppolo hasn’t necessarily been at the top of his game over the past few weeks, this upcoming bout against the Redskins is a chance for some redemption. The 49ers have been doing most of their damage on the ground towards their opponents, limiting Garoppolo’s responsibility to constantly throw the ball to make plays all the time. Washington’s defense is a mess right now as opposing quarterbacks have produced on average 22.67 fantasy points per game against them. This is the perfect opportunity for Jimmy G to go out and showcase his arm, and what better way to do it then in our Nation’s Capital?

Kyler Murray (ARI) @ NYG

The number one overall pick of the 2019 draft continues to stay hot. Since Week 4, Murray sits just within the top-five for fantasy points produced per game (23.8). What makes Murray so unique as a quarterback is his ability to escape the pocket when there is trouble and turn it into a positive play with his legs. He’s still second in rushing yards among active quarterbacks (238) as well. Only Lamar Jackson has more. The Giants sit within the bottom-five when it comes to preventing opposing arms from scoring fantasy points (23.67/gm). With Murray finally showing us his potential, he’s almost a lock to start this week at MetLife stadium.

Lamar Jackson (BAL) @ SEA

Jackson has significantly improved from his rookie season, but he still has displayed some inconsistencies from time to time this year. He’s had games in 2019 where he’s thrown multiple interceptions in a game, but he’s had others where he looks absolutely flawless. I believe Jackson will be an elite passer in this league very soon, but he still has some growing to do before he gets there. Regardless of some of his turnover issues as of late, Jackson is taking on a team that struggles at what he specializes in which is running. The Seahawks have on average, allowed over six yards per carry to mobile quarterbacks this season. With a matchup that is set right in his wheelhouse, Jackson appears poised to have a big day.
