3. Josh Rosen; 2. Ryan Fitzpatrick

After declaring Rosen would be the starter for the rest of the season, Dolphins’ head coach Brian Flores is now going back to Fitzpatrick for Week 7 against the Buffalo Bills. It feels certain that whatever’s left of “FitzMagic” will fizzle out quickly, as it always does even it’s fun for a few games, and Rosen will get another shot before the season is over.

The Chiefs can help Flores make his quarterback decision by trading for either Rosen or Fitzpatrick, while also giving Miami an extra draft pick they’d surely love to have as part of their rebuild. Which one would be more appealing is a different conversation. Rosen hasn’t been allowed to get his development on the right track with two dysfunctional situations in as many years, and Fitzpatrick is the erratic, wide range of outcomes veteran.

If Mahomes is out, the Chiefs will at least need a healthy signal caller to pair with Moore. As it turns out, the league’s worst team has two that should be some level of available.
