NFL FanDuel: Week 7 top plays (Early only!)
NFL FanDuel: Week 7 RB Targets – (Early Only)
Saquon Barkley – $8,600 – (Cash)
I wasn’t even going to consider it, but after another full practice on Friday, I am hopping right back on Barkley here as his Giants will host the Cardinals in our juiciest fantasy match-up of the slate. There were rumors that he was ready to go last week, but on shear caution, the Giants decided to hold him out an extra week. Saquon himself has said he feels 100% ready to handle a full workload, and for that reason, I am ready to lock him in.
The Cardinals are notably bad at stopping the pass this season, especially the tight ends as we all know, but they have also fallen to the 26th ranked rush defense in the NFL as well, Barkley’s volume and additional work he will receive in the passing game put him right back into cash lock territory here, and I am jamming in three top backs this week.
Dalvin Cook against the Lions is just as good of a play, and Leonard Fournette continues to be a volume machine, and he faces an 0-6 Bengals who are also among the worst in the league at stopping the run. Once I saw I could fit all three of these backs in cash and still have optimal plays at all other spots, I was set. The sample lineup on the last slide will show you how.
Tevin Coleman – $6,200 – (GPP)
Since it is really no secret that jamming in three top RB’s in cash games is the way to go, there are a ton of solid receivers that have GPP appeal that you may want to pay up for in those contests. In order to do so, taking a stab at Coleman in your FLEX spot with a pair of top RB’s and one spendy WR could be a great pivot. I have interest in Cooper Kupp, T.Y. Hilton, and Adam Thielen on this slate for GPP’s, and paying down for Coleman will allow me to fit one or two of them in.
Coleman is still in a timeshare with Matt Breida, but he is taking more snaps over the last couple of weeks, and could possibly emerge as the top back running behind a great offensive line on an undefeated team with a solid defense. Coleman had a rough go last week against the Rams, but Breida was equally ineffective as the pair combined on 31 carries for just 81 yards. This week the holes should be there against the Redskins, and I am primed for a big game from Coleman. The former Falcon has received exactly five more carries than Breida in each of the last two games.
