This weekās AEW Power Rankings feature champions on top and a closer look at who is on the rise in the menās, womenās and tag team divisions.
AEW finally made itās long-awaited weekly TV debut on October 2 with AEW Dynamite. On October 8, AEW Dark, a weekly series showcasing matches that take place before Dynamite airs, debuted on AEWās YouTube channel. On both shows, fans have been treated to matches from all three divisions.
With all that in mind, here is this weekās edition of AEW power rankings.
Menās Division
No. 1: Chris Jericho
Le Champion has been on a roll since becoming the inaugural AEW World Champion, including building a stable called the Inner Circle. In both of his AEW Dynamite matches, he has been on the winning team. And he successfully defended his title, with some help, against Darby Allin on Wednesday.
No. 2: Sammy Guevara
Jericho handpicked Guevara to join Inner Circle. According to a comment on Guevaraās YouTube show, he was handpicked by Jericho to be part of AEW. Meanwhile, Cody chose him to be his opponent in the first ever match seen on Dynamite. He may have lost his match against Cody, but he won his match with Jericho against Dustin Rhodes and Hangman Page. Guevara has been dubbed the āSpanish Godā by his leader and his stock is rising.
No. 3: Jon Moxley
Moxley has caused a paradigm shift since joining AEW. In his Dynamite debut, he made an emphatic statement by putting Kenny Omega (and himself) through a glass coffee table. Last week, he had his first Dynamite match against Shawn Spears. He was victorious.
No. 4: Darby Allin
The relentless Darby Allin has made quite the impression in AEW. Last week, he had his first singles match on DynamiteĀ against Jimmy Havoc. By winning this match, he secured the No.1 contender spot against Jericho. He also defeated CIMA on AEW Dark. While he didnāt defeat Jericho on Wednesday, he looked impressive even with his hands taped behind his back.
No. 5: Cody
Wrestler/EVP Cody faced Guevara in the debut match on DynamiteĀ and was victorious. Heās still set to face Jericho for the AEW World Championship at Full Gear.
No. 6: PAC
āThe Bastardā is undefeated in AEW. In the inaugural episode of Dynamite,Ā PAC finally faced Hangman Page in an AEW ring, continuing his winning ways. Last week, he attacked Omega from behind as he was challenging Moxley. This week, he was paired up with Moxley and had his first loss, but as a tag team and not a singleās competitor.
No. 7: MJF
Codyās close, personal friend MJF has spent time taunting Brandon Cutler for playing Dungeons and Dragons (MJF was called out by many D&D players, including Joe Manganiello). He defeated his opponent in under four minutes.
No. 8: Kenny Omega
Omega has had two matches on Dynamite, the first teaming up with the Young Bucks against Jericho, Santana and Ortiz and the second teaming with Hangman Page against Moxley and PAC. In the first, āThe Best Bout Machineā was singled out by Moxley when he interfered in the match and got him away from his Elite partners. Omega went through a glass table in one of the most memorable moments on Dynamite thus far. In the second, he and Page were victorious.
No. 9: Jimmy Havoc
Havoc had the biggest match of his career so far when he competed against Allin for the opportunity to become the No. 1 contender for Jerichoās AEW World Championship. Though he came up short, Havoc has stuck out to fans in his AEW matches.
No. 10: CIMA
CIMA is a big star in Oriental Wrestling Entertainment and has made a splash in AEW. At Fight for the Fallen, he had a fantastic match against Omega. On the first episode of AEW Dark, he faced Allin. CIMA brings veteran experience and a different wrestling style to AEW, so even though heās winless thus far, he has stood out.
