Late DraftKings college football quarterback picks October 19

Top Tier:

I didn’t think Cole McDonald was a great pick against Boise last week and he still went for 34.44 DraftKings points. He’s not an elite pick against Air Force either, but McDonald is by far the best quarterback option on this slate and honestly isn’t priced like it. Any lineup I make will have McDonald in it.

Middle Tier:

Fresno did well in containing Donald Hammond last week, but he still threw for a touchdown and ran for two more. Even if Hawaii is able to contain Hammond like Fresno did, they wont keep him out of the end zone. Hammond’s rushing ability gives him a nice floor. The only question is whether you think he’s worth the price as a running back, which Hammond essentially is.

Jordan Love had the worst game of his college career two weeks ago in Red Stick. Love completed just half of his 30 pass attempts and completed 10% of those to LSU without scoring a touchdown. Don’t worry, Jordan. You’ll get back on track against Nevada.

Bargain Shoppers:

Jaren Hall was the offense for BYU before he was concussed last week. He likely will be again against Boise should he clear concussion protocol. I would consider Hall for the price if he’s cleared, but there is no way I would use Baylor Romney if Hall can’t go.

It took a bit, but Malik Henry finally wrestled the quarterback job away from the underperforming Carson Strong. Henry threw for 352 against San Jose State. If he cuts down the interceptions, Henry could be a great bargain against the Aggies.

If Chase Cord is forced to start for Boise, he will be my super flex in every lineup. Cord threw three touchdowns after Bachmeier departed and will only set you back $5,900. There is massive potential if Cord starts.
