Late DraftKings college football running back picks October 19

Top Tier:

Nevada’s run defense has been solid, so I want the guaranteed workload of Kadin Remsberg to lead my running backs. The price on Remsberg means that he isn’t nearly the value that he once was. Still, he sees a lot of carries in this option attack, giving him a good floor.

Once again, the Boise run game can leave you pulling your hair out. Robert Mahone had more carries. George Holani had more yards. I really like both against a questionable BYU defense, but I would recommend not using either one if you aren’t going to use both. It’s not worth the headache.

Middle Tier:

If Toa Taua can’t get in the end zone, he will be a disappointment. Utah State has a pretty good run defense. With Henry, I feel Nevada will throw more, especially if it’s easier for them to do. The Wolfpack wont abandon the run, but they could run less.

If you want to throw a dart with a Utah State running back, go with Gerold Bright. He’s a risk, but no more than Warren given his price and I think that Bright has more upside even if he isn’t the starter yet.

Bargain Shoppers:

As per usual, Taven Birdow is the underpriced wrecking ball for the Air Force run game. Birdow has double digit DraftKings points in three straight games and often outrushes the running back from his fullback position in the triple option. Birdow will again anchor my running backs.

If you want a total dart throw, Timothy Jackson is your man. He outrushed Birdow, Remsberg, and Donald Hamilton against Fresno. That is likely the exception and not the rule, but Jackson probably earned himself a few more chances, at least for this week.
