Late DraftKings college football wide receiver picks October 19

Top Tier:

With so many good value plays elsewhere, I’ll be paying up at receiver. Cedric Byrd and Jojo Ward continue to see a ton of targets since Hawaii doesn’t really run, nor do they have any desire to.

If Cord starts at quarterback, I’ll be very heavy on John Hightower. Hightower’s targets were going up with Bachmeier in the lineup as well, but Cord went almost exclusively to Hightower. If Cord starts, Hightower is the best receiver on the slate. Even if it’s Bachmeier, I expect a good game out of Hightower, making him a low risk play with high upside.

Middle Tier:

Khalil Shakir and CT Thomas are fighting for scraps after Hightower’s recent high volume games, but there is a big difference between fighting for scraps at the Mission than fighting for scraps at a steakhouse. Boise’s passing attack is a steakhouse.

There is no official word, but I would expect Siaosi Mariner to be back for this game against Nevada. The Utah transfer worked his way to the top of the pecking order of a pretty good passing attack. If Mariner is good to go, he’s a strong option.

Bargain Shoppers:

The volume for Elijah Cooks actually went up a touch with Henry at quarterback. Cooks is still the Nevada receiver you want, especially if they are going to pass more often. Romeo Doubs is the big play guy. Cooks is the low risk option. Both are solid against Utah State.

Boise realized that freshman Lincoln Victor is buried on the depth chart at quarterback. It just so happens that he can catch passes too. Victor now has seen game action twice and has caught a touchdown in both games. Just make sure we get word than he’s in. There’s always a chance Hawaii only plays him in two more games to they can redshirt him. This would seem to be a good place to use him though.
