1. Marcus Mariota

Mariota has been benched by the Tennessee Titans in favor of Ryan Tannehill, and the way Tannehill played against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 7 the No. 2 overall pick in 2015 will be riding pine until further notice. As he, like Winston, plays out his fifth-year rookie contract option Mariota has possibly played his last snap for the Titans.

If the Titans don’t land high enough in the 2020 draft to even land someone like Oregon’s Justin Herbert, they will be left to entertain free agent signal callers and a bunch of question marks. From that perspective Mariota is at least someone they know well, good, bad and ugly, so a reunion with no multi-year commitment is possible.

But as Mariota surfaced as a potential trade option for the Kansas City Chiefs after Patrick Mahomes’ knee injury, he would also be a presumed solid fit for the offense run by Andy Reid disciple Matt Nagy. A trade before the Oct. 29 deadline is remotely possible, but the Bears should entertain the idea of signing Mariota without having to give up an asset come March. As he seeks a change of scenery, Chicago should be an option Mariota considers.
