We’re back with another FanDuel NHL Blue Line Power Plays post for a another big Tuesday night Main slate on October 22.

It’s been a while since I’ve had time to put my thoughts into a FanSided Fantasy post for FanDuel NHL Blue Line Power plays. But, I’m still playing slates on a fairly regular basis, so the analysis is fresh.

Fortunately, I had some time to being jotting down my thoughts related to the analysis I’m conducting for the Tuesday, October 22nd slate. That’s fortunately because this is your typical large Tuesday slate.

Given the number of games for one main slat, the options could seem overwhelming. We have at least ten goalies who can clinch a win. We also have a bunch of red-hot offensive stars on the ice with decent match-ups. And we even have a defenseman who’s currently leading the NHL in points, as a viable play.

Here’s a look at the NHL schedule, and over/under goal totals, for Tuesday, October 22 2019:

Maple Leafs at Bruins (7pm EDT) Over/Under Not Available Yet

Sharks at Sabres (7pm EDT) Over/Under 6.5 goals

Penguins at Panthers (7pm EDT) Over/Under Not Available Yet

Coyotes at Rangers (7pm EDT) Over/Under 6 goals

Canucks at Red Wings (7:30pm EDT) Over/Under 6 goals

Ducks at Predators (8pm EDT) Over/Under 5.5 goals

Oilers at Wild (8pm EDT) Over/Under 6 goals

Kings at Jets (8pm EDT) Over/Under 6.5 goals

Golden Knights at Blackhawks (8:30pm EDT) Over/Under 6.5 goals

Capitals at Flames (9pm EDT) Over/Under 6 goals

As you can see, I’ve highlighted the top three games with the most expected goals to be scored, based on over/under estimates from Vegas. Speaking of Vegas, the Golden Knights are a team I expect to see bounce-back from a lost in Philly last night.

Reilly Smith and Jonathan Marchessault poked two goals through the Flyers defense last night, but they also gave up six for a big loss. But the Flyers defense has been stingy in it’s first seven games, at least in games NOT against the Oilers. And the Golden Knights are facing a Blackhawks team who are giving up Vegas’ identical 3.30 games scored per game.

I think the Golden Knights are motivated to score at least four goals tonight, and we have some affordable top offensive plays from that lineup, also heavily involved in the power play.

With the Kings giving up a league high 4.00 goals per game, and the Jets giving up a high 3.30 goals per game, we can expect fireworks from that game as well. However, the goals may be spread out across many members of each team. Still, it’s a game we should target.

I also really like the Sharks and Sabres game in Buffalo, but maybe not for the reason you’d think. Evander Kane gets another crack at his former team, and is red-hot, much like the Sabres offense. I’m bluntly keeping him on my radar.

The Bruins and Maple Leafs over/under wasn’t available at the time of writing this post, but they’re two teams I’m considering as well, leaning more heavily toward the home ice Bruins.

Finally, the Rangers got off to a hot start, but are now giving up nearly four goals per game. Meanwhile, the Coyotes are quietly playing great hockey to start this season, and have some sneaky value to use in our lineup build for this slate.

As always, we’ll look to update our picks and final lineups prior to lock on our twitter account @FantasyCPR or me @MattyMcMatt17 so make sure to give us a follow for all the late breaking lineup news.

Now let’s start building our NHL DFS optimal lineup by looking at the top centers for these slates…
