The week 8 fantasy football waiver wire list is a long one with two teams on a bye, plenty of injuries and players breaking out.

The fantasy football season is flying by. Week 7 is in the books, putting us at about the halfway point of the season. This week’s waiver wire list is full of backups that have stepped up to carve out a role for themselves. With no change expected, these players need to be owned in more leagues.

At the end of week 7, there were a lot of players dealing with injuries. Patrick Mahomes, Matt Ryan, Kerryon Johnson, Adrian Peterson, Adam Thielen, Will Fuller and Delanie Walker joined the ever-growing list of injured players this season. Some will be out for a number of weeks while others should be ready for week 8.

Along with those players missing time due to injury, the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys are on a bye week. That means owners will be without Lamar Jackson, Dak Prescott, Mark Ingram, Ezekiel Elliott, Marquise Brown, Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, Mark Andrews and the Ravens defense.

Those are some big impact players that will leave owners searching the waiver wire for a one-week replacement. But that’s what this post is for. I have three quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers for you to think about adding to your fantasy football team.

Eight of the nine players are owned in less than 60 percent of ESPN leagues. There is one player that is owned in about 66 percent of leagues, but I think that number should be higher, so that’s why he’s included.
