Tottenham and Red Star Belgrade will meet in their first of two games against each other on Tuesday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs are tied for last in Group B with one point. Red Star are second in the group with three points.

After losing the Champions League final last season, Tottenham have gotten off to a terrible start this season. Spurs are seventh in the Premier League with a 3-3-3 record. In their last Champions League game, Tottenham were humiliated by Bayern Munich, losing 7-2. Mauricio Pochettino has failed to get his club to play at the level they are capable of. Spurs have been playing down to their level of competition. If they do that again, Red Star could steal points from Tottenham and make it extremely difficult for Spurs to get out of the group.

Red Star defeated Olympiacos 3-1 in their last Champions League game. Domestically, the Serbian club is first in their league with 30 points in their first 11 games. Vladan Milojevic’s team have been very good in front of their home fans at Rajko Mitic Stadium but have struggled in their European games outside of Serbia. Milan Pavkov will play a key role for Red Star. The Serbian striker leads the club with seven goals this season.
