DraftKings NBA Picks October 24: Get Freaky with Curry

As per usual, it is a light Thursday in the Association. We only have three games for our DraftKings NBA tournaments, but there’s no shortage of star power. Both Giannis and Harden make their debuts tonight.

If that’s not enough, Westbrook debuts for Houston, Curry and the Warriors take on the Clippers out West, and the Pistons must have pissed off the league front office. The season is three days old, and they already have a back to back. This slate is only short in name only. We have stars, stories, and drama. Now all we need is value!

A new season will mean a little bit of a different format. It will still provide most of what you are used to, but I will go more into why I am thinking about one pick over the other. That way if you don’t agree with my particular analysis, you more easily know what to chase instead.

The injury report is pretty clear for tonight. We don’t really have to wait on the status of many players at all.

Out: Paul George (shoulders), Blake Griffin (hamstring), Willie Cauley-Stein (foot), Allen Crabbe (knee), Gerald Green (foot), Chandler Parsons (rest….in the first game of the season….), Nene (hip), Michael Frazier (ankle), Klay Thompson (knee), Alen Smailagic (ankle), Sekou Doumbouya (concussion).

Questionable: Rodney McGruder (ankle), Amir Coffey (ankle).

Those few designated as probable were left off of my injury report. No need to confuse things further.

I had another pretty good night last night, but the fade of Kyrie cost me quite a bit. I still ended up with three lineups over the cash line of 304.5. I used Drummond and Herro across the board, but going heavy on Kleber kept my best score at 340. That’s a strong score, but I barely cracked the top 3600 with it.

skijmb had a ridiculous 417.25 score for the takedown. He had Drummond and KAT like I did, but Donovan Mitchell, Winslow, Sabonis, Taurean Prince, and Kennard all topped 40 DraftKings points as well. In fact, his low score was value play Kendrick Nunn at 35.
