Fantasy football picks: Week 8 TNF Vikings vs. Redskins

We are back with another Thursday night single game NFL slate, with a match-up between the Vikings, and Redskins. This game seems like it will be pretty one-sided, as Minnesota is obviously the much better team, and Washington just put up a big fat goose egg against the Niners. This game has a 42 point total, which is pretty low, even for a Thursday night game.

will be talking more about the Vikings in this game, since they have the far superior talent, and much better match-up. Washington is pretty bad on defense, especially against the pass, and that is an area that we will want to attack. Of course, what fun would this article be without some GPP picks to mix things up. That means we have to find the right players from Washington, that may have some upside. I will do all that hard work for you, so sit back, relax, grab a beer and enjoy!

With these single-game slates, we will want to focus more on game theory, and less on the actual plays. We have limited options, and everyone will be on the same guys because of this. So, we have to find a way to get different from the point bonus spot, in order to stand out. I will still talk about different players I like, but I will focus a lot on how to attack those bonus spots as well.

As reference, the main websites I used are Pro Football Reference, and Football Outsiders, along with RotoGrinders tools, you may see stats such as QBR (Total Quarterback Rating) DYAR (Defense-adjusted Yards Above Replacement) DVOA (Defense-adjusted Value Over Average), as well as some more common terms we all know, such as totals yards, touchdowns, interceptions, etc. Let’s dive in!
