Fantasy football picks: Week 8 TNF Vikings vs. Redskins

Game theory is something that I have had to really work on going into this season, and it really takes your game to the next level once you start to get the hang of it. With single-game slates, game theory is a little bit different due to the 1.5x MVP point slot. Usually, this spot is used for the most popular play on the slate, which is normally a quarterback. However, I will tell you a little secret, very rarely do chalk MVP quarterbacks win you a single game tourney.

Most people will take the easy option for the bonus spot. That would be either Dalvin Cook, or Kirk Cousins. Both of which are very good plays, they are also the most expensive players on the slate, and take little research too identify. I do like them, and will recommend them for cash games. Stefon Diggs is a great pivot at slightly lower ownership, and as we have saw recently, he has a very high ceiling. I really like McLaurin at virtually no ownership in the bonus spot. He is a true high ceiling, but low floor player, especially against a good defense. That will scare people off of him, and that is just the edge we are looking for in tournaments.
