Regis Prograis and Josh Taylor meet in the final bout of the World Boxing Super Series super lightweight tournament on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Super lightweight champions Regis Prograis (24-0, 20 KOs) and Josh Taylor (15-0, 12 KOs) collide in the finale of the World Boxing Super Series on Saturday, Oct. 26 live on DAZN (2 p.m ET). The winner will walk away with the IBF and WBA super lightweight belts and the Muhammad Ali trophy.

This bout marks the third of the tournament for Taylor and the fourth for Prograis. To compete in the tournament, Prograis had to beat Juan Velasco to punch his ticket.

Poor promotion and money problems have marred the World Boxing Super Series, but the contest between Prograis and Taylor is fortunately happening.

Many will see this fight as a contrast between a power puncher in Prograis and a slick boxer in Taylor. This is one of the more competitive bouts of 2019, which will have a significant impact on the super lightweight division. After this matchup, two men will control equal shares of the division’s championships. Jose Ramirez holds the WBC and WBO belts.

Prograis vs. Taylor is set in London’s O2 Arena, which gives Taylor an advantage. Even though London isn’t Taylor’s hometown, he’s Scottish which makes it much easier for his fans to travel to the fight than Prograis’. Prograis is from Houston, TX.

The undercard includes some intriguing matchups. The primary undercard is between heavyweights Derek Chisora (31-9, 22 KOs) and David Price (25-6, 20 KOs). Expect a knockout ending in this bout.

A lightweight fight between Ricky Burns (47-7-1, 16 KOs) and Lee Selby (27-2, 9 KOs) has fight of the night potential. Neither man is a knockout puncher, but they’re known for throwing punches in bunches. Both are former world champions looking for one more shot at a title.
