NBA DFS Picks and Pivots – Friday, October 25
Welcome to the Friday edition of NBA DFS Picks and Pivots, a fantasy basketball column focused on helping you find the best core lineup for this slate of DFS action!
For those of you finding us for the first time, the concept behind NBA DFS Picks and Pivots is to give you a first look at the day’s NBA DFS slate, including our top picks, plays and pivots, using FantasyDraft pricing as a reference to help you build your best fantasy baseball line-up and win big.
Picks and Pivots is not a simple “best plays” column but rather it focuses on slate strategy and roster construction to help give you insight into how I will look to play this slate. The goal of this article is to dig through the slate, highlight our top plays and help you identify the best slate strategy across your NBA DFS line-ups.

Scores came crashing back down to Earth on Thursday’s three-game slate as winning GPP scores were back at “normal” levels around 340-350 with the cash line in GPP’s and double-ups well below 300 as Stars and Scrubs builds were the most popular route for players with all of Giannis, Harden and Drummond over 70% owned in the $25 GPP on FantasyDraft.
For me, it was an ugly night, really because my “must play” stars in Steph Curry and Kawhi Leonard far underperformed due to a massive Clippers blowout which saw Kawhi head to the bench for good midway through the 3rd quarter and Curry followed suit at the end of the third and never returned. We talk about game stacking and the correlation in DFS, however in this case that backfired as the game was a 30 point beatdown just after halftime which led to reduced minutes for players in my core build.
Without further ado, let’s get into today’s slate!
