WWE Friday Night SmackDown preview, October 25: Watch online
Here’s all the information you need for the October 18, 2019 edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
With the World Series underway, MLB has taken control of FOX for the next week or so. That being said, WWE Friday Night SmackDown will spend the night on FS1, FOX’s sister station, this week. And there will be plenty of fireworks to go around, with Crown Jewel less than a week away.
As we know, WWE Hall of Famers Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan will captain two teams that will face off in Saudi Arabia. But less than a week before that showdown, the two legends will go face-to-face on SmackDown. The two will sit down as guests on MizTV, and Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and King Corbin will join them.
This past weekend, New Day member Xavier Woods suffered an Achilles injury. He and Big E were scheduled to take part in the tag team turmoil match next week at Crown Jewel. As a result, Woods is out and his New Day brother Kofi Kingston will step in to take his place. In an effort to prepare for that match, Kingston and Big E will take on Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. Can the pancake-loving duo put the injury on the back burner, or will the former Raw Tag Team Champions pull off the upset?
One of the longest-standing rivalries outside of WWE has taken center stage. Nearly 10 years after their previous meeting, WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and former UFC star Cain Velasquez are on a crash course for Crown Jewel. But just days before their historic encounter, the two will both be in the house on Friday night. Paul Heyman and Rey Mysterio will also join them. You have to think tempers will explode this week. Can they keep it together long enough to make it through the night?
