Arsenal face Crystal Palace at Emirates Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 27. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
On Sunday, Arsenal host Crystal Palace at Emirates Stadium. The Gunners are fifth in the Premier League with 15 points. Palace are one point and place behind their city rivals in the Premier League table.
Arsenal were shocked on Monday, losing 1-0 to Sheffield United. On Thursday, the Gunners were able to bounce back in the Europa League, beating Portuguese Vitoria Guimaraes 3-2. Nicolas Pepe came off the bench and scored twice to lead Arsenal to victory. The French winger was Arsenal’s most expensive signing in the summer but had struggled since joining the club. Manager Unai Emery has to hope that Thursday’s game will be a breakout performance from Pepe that he will continue through the rest of the season. If Pepe can elevate his play, Arsenal could qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 2016-17.
The most surprising team in the Premier League this season has been Crystal Palace. The Eagles have between 10th and 12th place in four of the past six seasons since they were promoted back into the Premier League. Roy Hodgson’s team have been excellent in their half, limiting the number of scoring chances for other teams. Palace are succeeding this season despite having a negative goal differential. It will likely only be a matter of time until their negative goal differential catches up with them. Unless Wilfrid Zaha starts scoring goals. Zaha is by far the most dangerous attacking player on Palace but he has yet to score this season.
