NBA DFS Picks and Pivots – Tuesday, October 29
Welcome to the Tuesday edition of NBA DFS Picks and Pivots, a fantasy basketball column focused on helping you find the best core lineup for this slate of DFS action!
For those of you finding us for the first time, the concept behind NBA DFS Picks and Pivots is to give you a first look at the day’s NBA DFS slate, including our top picks, plays and pivots, using FantasyDraft pricing as a reference to help you build your best fantasy baseball line-up and win big.
Picks and Pivots is not a simple “best plays” column but rather it focuses on slate strategy and roster construction to help give you insight into how I will look to play this slate. The goal of this article is to dig through the slate, highlight our top plays and help you identify the best slate strategy across your NBA DFS line-ups.

Monday’s NBA DFS slate was a wild one for late news as all day we were waiting on the status of Joel Embiid who despite participating in shootaround was still listed as questionable. At 7:01 PM EST, right AFTER the FanDuel lock, he was ruled IN so hopefully you were late swapping on DraftKings or able to adjust on FantasyDraft with their perfectly times staggered 7:30 PM EST start.
Personally, I had made a pivot lineup late in the afternoon once Jrue Holiday was ruled out, to stack up the Pelicans and Warriors in case Embiid was ruled in and it took me off the Hawks-Sixers and this is a route I highly suggest you practice as you can have a backup plan ready in case you need to pivot right before lock. Embiid ultimately was the slates leading scorer at 66 fantasy points on a night where 300+ was needed just to minimum cash with nearly 360 fantasy points as the winning GPP score.
Without further ado, let’s get into today’s slate!
