Last week, I correctly predicted five of the to 10 wide receivers, 5.5 if you count having the wrong Lions receiver. Mike Evans and Cooper Kupp went off for outstanding days, finishing as WR1 and 2 in fantasy football for week eight. Evans had 11 catches for 198 yards and two touchdowns while Kupp caught seven balls for a career-high 220 yards and a touchdown.

This week it was Kenny Golladay, not Marvin Jones, that finished as a top five fantasy football receiver. Julian Edelman, Michael Thomas, Julio Jones, and DeAndre Hopkins all showed their value with solid top 10 finishes.

Chris Conley and D.J. Chark both took advantage of their favorable matchup against the Jets with great top 10 fantasy football performances, while JuJu Smith-Schuster and Diontae Johnson were a potent pairing of their own, posting top 11 games against the Dolphins on Monday Night Football.

I think the Watson/Hopkins will be hot once again against the Jaguars. No Jalen Ramsey in Jacksonville should lead to Hop EATING and likely being the top receiver in fantasy football for week nine.

Kenny Golladay should follow up his strong performance with another against the Raiders. Chris Godwin and Mike Evans always seem to find a way to produce no matter how Winston plays at quarterback. Every ball that Mitch Trubisky throws should be to Allen Robinson, and the Eagles secondary has been so bad that a strategy like that should actually work.

I like the Cowboys receivers, Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, against the Giants this week, as well as the Jags receivers (D.J. Chark, Dede Westbrook, and Chris Conley) against the Texans. Davante Adams should be back this week for Rodgers and the Packers, and I think he and Keenan Allen with both do well in that game.

Other plays that I like include John Brown vs WAS, JuJu and Diontae again against the Colts, Robby Anderson vs MIA, and Jaris Landry to eat underneath with Chris Harris shadowing Odell Beckham Jr.

For that reason, I don’t like OBJ this week, and I’d also try to avoid playing Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson vs CHI, Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk vs SF, and D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel vs TEN. Overall, there aren’t a whole lot of matchups that are turning me off. This should be a good week for receivers across the board, and receivers could end up filling FLEX spots across fantasy football in week nine.
