NFL DFS Week 9: Fantasy football cash game breakdown
More running backs!
Christian McCaffrey: FanDuel $9700, DraftKings $10000
Look…the guy is incredible. Even against San Francisco last week in a blowout he still managed to put up some solid numbers.McCaffrey is in play every single week. I will never tell you to not play him but I will say this week is going to make two in a row that I probably fade him, especially on DraftKings where he’s an even $10k. I’m glad they priced him up that high, but man does it make the rest of your lineup so hard to fill in. His price isn’t quite as big of an issue for me on FanDuel but I just think you can get better bang for your buck given the matchup. Tennessee isn’t a great team by any means but man they are tough on defense and they carry that mentality all the way down from their head coach. I may have some shares on FanDuel but I highly doubt I’ll play him on DraftKings.
Jordan Howard: FanDuel $6300, DraftKings $5100
I think this is my favorite value play of the week. Normally I’m not big on paying down at running back or in the flex spot but I really feel strongly about this play this week. I’m not sure he’ll carry the typical cash percentage but I think he should, especially if Miles Sanders sits out. The Eagles realized last week against a tough defense they can push the ball down the field by running it and relieve some pressure on their young quarterback. They smashed Buffalo by running the ball and involving their running backs more. Chicago can be run on — we already know that. Add in the fact this is a revenge game narrative and the guy Howard was in a timeshare with is banged up and I’m sold. I think the Eagles are back after last week.
Josh Jacobs: FanDuel $7200, DraftKings $6500
I thought for a while the Detroit defense would be good given their coach and how they came out in the first few games of the year but I was wrong. Now they’re forced to ride the hand of Stafford and air it out more with their running back Kerryon Johnson down. I’m not sure if Jacobs will make my cash lineup this week but I like him quite a bit and he’s worth some consideration if you’re the type to make three to five lineups each week.
