NBA DFS: Studs, scrubs, and duds for November 3rd
Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s daily fantasy NBA lineup helper.
Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:
6 p.m. ET: Houston at Miami, Sacramento at New York
7 p.m. ET: LA Lakers at San Antonio
7:30 p.m. ET: Dallas at Cleveland
9 p.m. ET: Utah at LA Clippers
How this works:
Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.
Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.
Studs
Kawhi Leonard (at UTA – $ on DK; $10,600 on FD): Kawhi has been over 60 fantasy points (FD) in three straight games despite not even logging heavy minutes. The Utah defense can be tough, but Kawhi is arguably the best player in the league right now and I’m not sure any defense will stop him. He’s cheaper than LeBron, Harden, and Davis and his ceiling is just as high.
Kevin Love (vs. DAL – $ on DK; $9,000 on FD): If the Mavericks are without Luka, that’s going to change how they play in a big way. The Cavaliers offense isn’t great, but Love is the star in the system and gets a double-double seemingly every game. He’s cost-effective compared to the top stars on the night.
Bam Adebayo (vs HOU – $ on DK; $8,300 on FD): The Houston defense continues to be a mess and if Butler doesn’t end up playing for the Rockets, Adebayo will be featured more. Even though Miami doesn’t always have the best of offenses, the Houston defense is bleeding points right now and Miami’s system is true. Adebayo should be a double-double collector.
Kristaps Porzingis (at CLE – $ on DK; $8,200 on FD): If Luka doesn’t play, Porzingis becomes the top option for the Mavericks. It’s a good top option to have especially against a team like the Cavaliers. Porzingis could end up with the biggest value on the night given his salary and potential production without Luka.
Anthony Davis (at SA – $ on DK; $11,600 on FD): It was the LeBron show in Dallas. Expect to see more of Anthony Davis in San Antonio. Aldridge isn’t a guy who is going to stop him given his defensive limitations and LeBron, after delivering such a big performance, knows he can sit back the next game and ride Davis more. Pretty nice luxury to have. He’s the top salary, but expect him to be worth it.
