While the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers suffered upset losses in Week 9, the Seattle Seahawks survived a scare thanks to their MVP-caliber quarterback.

The NFC looks like the more dominant conference after nine weeks of NFL action, which means there will be plenty of room for a shakeup over the next few weeks. In Week 9, two playoff-quality teams suffered tough defeats, as the Green Bay Packers were humiliated by the disappointing Los Angeles Chargers despite getting star receiver Davante Adams back from injury. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings lost a close one to the Matt Moore-led Kansas City Chiefs.

Russell Wilson rescued the Seattle Seahawks from a similar fate at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as the Seattle defense had issues defending the Mike Evans and Jameis Winston connection. But Wilson made several huge plays in the fourth quarter and overtime to secure the win, showing off his own connection with Tyler Lockett and rookie DK Metcalf.

Despite being one of the best teams in the league, the Seahawks are looking at a Wild Card spot. But they can make up some ground in the NFC West if they can hand the San Francisco 49ers their first loss of the season next week on Monday Night Football. They’ll be on the road, but Wilson is capable of magic. The 49ers looked vulnerable on Thursday Night Football, beating Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals by just three points.

Yeah, the NFC West is pretty good.
