Listen to Kevin Harlan’s hilarious radio call of Football Cat during the Giants vs. Cowboys game on Monday night.
It wouldn’t be Monday Night Football without a cat running through the field … wait … that’s not normal. But on Monday that’s exactly what happened when a black cat wandered into the end zone, halting the action in the second quarter. The New York Giants were ahead at the time, but perhaps a black cat walking through the game is what the Dallas Cowboys needed to get back into the lead going into half time.
The cat was only on the field for a few minutes but it ran off into the tunnel with our hearts. Specifically, Westwood One announcer Kevin Harlan’s heart which was he channeled into a fantastic radio call of Football Cat.
Kevin Harlan's Westwood One radio call of the cat on the field is, as you might expect, an all-time great call. How much of a pro is Harlan? He worked a sponsor read into it. pic.twitter.com/3x0MVNEHNY

“The cat runs into the end zone,” he says. “Touchdown!”
This isn’t the first time Harlan’s had a classic radio call of a less than normal sport moment. Check out this one of him calling a streaker during a 2016 Monday Night Football game in San Francisco, CA.
This also isn’t the first time a cat has captured the heart of sports fans, in 2017 a cat ran onto the field during a tense moment in the Kansas City Royals vs Saint Louis Cardinals game. The bases were loaded and after the cat was captured and the game resumed, Yadier Molina hit a homer for a grand slam.
