Roger Staubach Division

8. Matthew Stafford (LW: 9)

Stafford has been awesome this season. He might even deserve to be higher on the list. He’s already thrown for 2,499 yards in eight games with 19 touchdowns and 8.6 YPA. If Stafford was on a winning team in a big market, we’d be talking MVP consideration.

7. Dak Prescott (LW: 7)

Prescott is having the best year of his career. In short, he’s going to be franchise tagged at the end of the year and then work toward getting $35+ million per year from the Cowboys. Lesson? Always pay quarterbacks early when the talent is evident.

6. Lamar Jackson (LW: 8)

Jackson is one of the two frontrunners for MVP alongside Russell Wilson. His throwing is nothing special (1,1813 yards, 7.6 YPA, 13 TDs and five INTs) but he’s majestic and electric on the ground, totaling more than 700 rushing yards through nine games. He’s going to shatter the rushing record for a single-season from the quarterback position.

5. Tom Brady (LW: 4)

Brady falls out of the top division for the first time this year. Yes, he’s thrown for 2,536 yards, second-best in football to Rivers. Still, he has a middling 7.1 YPA and only 14 touchdowns in nine contests. He’s also getting ridiculous field position each week. Brady has been very good, but not great.
