Buffalo Bills at Cleveland Browns (-3)

How in God’s name are the Browns (2-6) favored in this game? They’ve been atrocious all year long. Baker Mayfield has seven touchdowns and 12 interceptions. The Bills (6-2) have beaten nobody all year, but Cleveland qualifies as nobody. Buffalo’s defense is terrific, and that’ll be enough.

Pick: Buffalo 16, Cleveland 13

Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears (-2.5)

The Bears (3-5) aren’t going to lose every game the rest of the way. This week is at home against a familiar opponent. The Lions (3-4-1) are the better team but they’ve struggled to finish all year. Chicago wins a tight one.

Pick: Chicago 17, Detroit 16

Kansas City Chiefs (-4) at Tennessee Titans

The Chiefs (6-3) somehow went 2-1 without Patrick Mahomes. With it looking like he’ll return, Kansas City will be a bear to deal with. The Titans (4-5) have a losing record and haven’t won a single game of note. Tennessee is an average team, and this is too much to ask.

Pick: Kansas City 34, Tennessee 20

New York Giants (-2) at New York Jets

Jimmy Hoffa will be the only person at the Meadowlands not openly weeping.

Pick: Giants 22, Jets 17, Everyone’s Dignity 0

Carolina Panthers at Green Bay Packers (-5.5)

Love this as a bounce-back game for the Packers (7-2). After being blown out by the Chargers, Green Bay comes home to face a good Panthers (5-3) team. While Carolina is solid, Kyle Allen beating Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau feels like a stretch. Close game, but the Packers win.

Pick: Green Bay 24, Carolina 18
