Derrick Brown. 11. player. 50. . Defensive Lineman. Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions were looking like a playoff team a few weeks back, as they headed out West to take on the Oakland Raiders. They lost a tough one of the Raiders, and towards the end of the game, starting quarterback Matthew Stafford was hit a few times, forcing him to miss this week’s game against the Chicago Bears.

After losing to the Bears, the Lions have lost a few in a row, and are seeing themselves move up in the 2020 NFL Draft, where they need to add talent to the defensive line. Derrick Brown is one of the more versatile defensive linemen in this draft class, and would be a perfect compliment to some of the younger pieces they have already put up front on that side of the ball.

Stafford should be back soon, which will help put this Lions team back in the playoff picture. The bottom line is, this is a team that is building the right way, and in a very good NFC North division, they have the young talent to be a contender for the foreseeable future if they can add a few more pieces this offseason.

Los Angeles Chargers. Jacob Eason. 12. player. 13. . Quarterback

The Los Angeles Chargers went into the 2019 NFL season as a true Super Bowl contender, but they have certainly fallen on hard times since then. After winning a few games in a row, the Chargers went into Oakland to make a statement on Thursday night, but instead left the game with more questions than answers.

One of the bigger questions was what to do with starting quarterback Philip Rivers, who looked absolutely terrible towards the end of the game. It may be time for the Bolts to start looking at his long-term successor, and Jacob Eason from Washington could be a perfect fit for their offense moving forward.

Eason has the arm talent to take shots downfield, and the Chargers have some major weapons in the passing game. In addition, he would be entering a franchise with good players at the running back spot, and that is always helpful for a young signal-caller looking to perform at a high level in the NFL.
