2. Nikola Jokic

Nikola Jokic is 24 years old.

The way he plays, not relying on athleticism in any real capacity whatsoever, means he could be around for 15 more years, easy. Thinking that he’s never going to get antsy and seek a change of scenery almost seems naive.

Except Jokic is a different type of cat. Unlike Embiid or Doncic, he doesn’t seem to have any interest in the trappings of stardom. He lives with his brothers. He doesn’t have a Twitter account. He’s just a big, lumpy…dude.

Denver, meanwhile, has never had a Nugget lifer with the potential of Jokic, who already has a top-five MVP finish on his resume. They have built the offense, and really, the entire team around his talents. Thus far, he hasn’t let them down.

As one of the more stable organizations in the entire league (the Kroenke family has owned the team for two decades), there’s no reason to think they’ll ever change course, and unlike nearly every other major star in the league, there’s little fear that Jokic will go coastal.

If he weren’t so damn young, he’d be a near lock.

In other words, he’d be…well, he’d be this guy:
