DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Who am I to not use Luka Doncic? Even in a bad matchup on paper against Boston on Monday, Luka went for 56 DraftKings points. Only Orlando and Denver have kept Luka under 50 DraftKings points. The Knicks aren’t close to either one of them defensively. Luka remains a superb pick in any format.

Ok Luka. I see you. I also see Trae. Trae Young has three straight 60+ DraftKings point games since Collins got suspended. I’ll lay off of Young if and when he cools off. I see him as a better pick than Doncic, but I’ll have both in at least one lineup.

Honorable Mention:

Even if Kyrie plays, I’m not sure I want to throw him out there against Denver. Remember the two teams that have held Luka under 50? The Nuggets held him under 30! I’d rather use Jrue Holiday against the Clippers with Hart and Ball both out.

We have always knocked Ricky Rubio for being inconsistent, right? Well, Rubio has at least 30 DraftKings points in every game this year with a couple going over 50. 30 doesn’t quite hit value at his price, but that should be the low end of his expected output against the Hawks. The only thing to worry about here is blowout potential, but with the way Young is playing, that isn’t likely to happen.

The loss of Khris Middleton means someone else is going to have to be Robin. My pick is Eric Bledsoe. We have seen him be a scorer when he has to, and I would think the Bucks will lean on Bledsoe a little more. In reality, Giannis can’t do much more than he already does. Some of that production is going to fall to Bledsoe.

Dark Horse:

We all know that Kyrie isn’t a great defender. I actually like this less if Kyrie plays. I would much rather use Jamal Murray against him than Spencer Dinwiddie. Speaking of, if Kyrie is out, Spencer Dinwiddie is an outstanding value play.

The minutes are there for Frank Ntilikina, but the production hasn’t been. At some point the minutes don’t mean that much. I would rather use Kris Dunn. Even though Dunn has lesser minutes, he has at least 5x value in four straight games, and could be in line for even bigger things if LaVine’s rolled ankle gives him issues.
