DFS fantasy football start/sit advice for week 11 2019
Quarterbacks
Start:
Deshaun Watson (HOU) @ BAL
This is one of the most highly anticipated matchups of the 2019 NFL season. Houston and Baltimore both feature young sensational quarterbacks and they are ready to duke it out on the gridiron this Sunday. Watson has been everything fantasy managers hoped for this year ranking second in fantasy points per game (23.7) and third in touchdown passes (18). It sure is comforting to know that Watson is your quarterback if you are fortunate to have him this year. This game is highly anticipated to involve a lot of scoring, so be prepared to watch both him and Lamar Jackson put up some big numbers in this one.
Lamar Jackson (BAL) vs. HOU
Speaking of Lamar Jackson, here he is on the “Quarterbacks to Start” list. It’s not much of a surprise as the second-year passer out of Louisville has been absolutely incredible this season for the Ravens and fantasy managers alike. Many thought he was going to be good this season, but I don’t think a lot of us really knew what he could be capable of. Jackson has shown us both the arm ability as well as his athleticism with his legs. He currently leads quarterbacks in rushing yards with 702 and has an additional six scores on the ground as well. Houston’s defense hasn’t been too strong this year and the loss of J.J. Watt for the season will definitely benefit Jackson in this exciting contest Sunday.
Sit:
Jimmy Garoppolo (SF) vs. ARI
Jimmy Garoppolo’s performance against the Seattle Seahawks should sum up why I’m opposed to starting him this week. In Monday’s thrilling overtime game, Garoppolo struggled to find much of a rhythm as he completed 52.0% of his passes for 248 yards and one touchdown. On top of that, he had three turnovers in the game (one interception and two lost fumbles). I don’t know about you, but it looked as if he took a page out of Jameis Winston’s playbook! Seriously, every time I would look up I saw Garoppolo turn the ball over time and time again. Even though he did well against the Arizona Cardinals the last time he faced off against them where he threw for 317 yards and four touchdowns, I don’t believe he will come close to those numbers this time around. The San Francisco signal-caller has only exceeded 20 or more fantasy points twice this year, so the idea he can repeat that kind of performance doesn’t sound all too promising.
