The top quarterbacks especially shined in Week 12 as Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields and Anthony Gordon showed why they are some of the best in the country with fantastic outings.
One quarterback who came out of nowhere for an amazing game was Kaleb Barker who posted six passing touchdowns against Texas State. Barker has actually had an impressive season posting up a minimal number of mistakes.
The Notre Dame offense busted onto the scene with a phenomenal passing attack between Ian Book and Chase Claypool. The duo combined for four of Book’s five touchdowns and was a huge part of the team’s win over a ranked Navy team.

Rutgers football has been a joke for years and Fields took advantage of arguably the worst team in a Power Five conference. Fields has been outstanding and efficient all season long, something Georgia fans feared after watching him transfer.

The struggling Trevor Lawrence narrative is officially over. Lawrence has strung together some great performances to remind America why he is one of the best quarterbacks in college football.

Michigan has caught fire recently and is making things interesting in the Big Ten thanks to a recent revival from Shea Patterson. With games against Indiana and Ohio State upcoming, it’s time to take over for Patterson and company.

Sixty passing attempts certainly help production, but Anthony Gordon has showcased his arm strength and accuracy all season long. With the departure of Gardner Minshew, Gordon has proved himself this season under Mike Leach.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish may not be a playoff team, but they have had a solid year led by Ian Book. Flashing production with both his legs and arm, Book has been one of the many bright spots for Brian Kelly.

Back-to-back Notre Dame players as Charles Claypool was one of the beneficiaries of an outstanding game from Ian Book. Catching four touchdowns and over 100 yards receiving, Claypool had his best game of the season against Navy.

The ground and pound Northwestern Wildcats were able to execute its game plan to perfection with a breakout performance from Evan Hull. The freshman stepped up in a big way and should receive more touches in the future.

Memphis is emerging as the best team in the American conference with sturdy quarterback play from its junior quarterback. White has had a fantastic year and should be in the conversation for top quarterbacks in the country.

The unsung hero of the week goes to Kaleb Barker who had a career-high six-touchdown performance against Texas State. Even against some poor teams, Barker has done his job during his senior season.
