For many, this week is do-or-die with the fantasy football playoffs just ahead. Here, we go position by position outlining the best and worst matchups for your fantasy squad!

The fantasy football playoffs are almost here, and with many fighting to keep their postseason hopes alive, this week is a win-and-advance or lose-and-go-home type of scenario. It’s shaping up to be an exciting week, as we’ve got a plethora of matchups for you to exploit and help bring your fantasy squad to glory.

One game that we’ve got a close eye on for an abundance of sneaky value plays is the Oakland Raiders visiting the New York Jets. Neither team likes to play much defense, meaning we could have a high-scoring game on our hands. Another place to target is going to be a should-be shootout between the Falcons and the Buccaneers – one where both Jameis Winston and Matt Ryan along their weapons should post big numbers. The last game to note is Cleveland playing host to the Dolphins, where an underachieving Browns’ offense could get back on track in a big way.

Our stay-away matchups start with Green Bay vs. San Francisco – both of which teams have boasted above-average defenses throughout the year. You can start your Niners’ running backs, but outside of that, it’s best to look elsewhere. Another game with two top-tier defenses, both offenses could have a tough time finding a rhythm in New England vs. Dallas.

"DISCLAIMER: “BOOM or BUST” isn’t exactly a “Start or Sit” column. I identify and provide analysis for players who aren’t a top-tier starting option that I believe will exceed expectations – and also those who will fail to meet them. It should be remembered that these picks are done at the beginning of the week, so better options may surface as the week progresses and we get a better idea on various injuries and player situations. Use your best judgement and keep tabs on news updates around the league up until kickoff on Sunday… Without further ado, let’s dive right into this week’s matchups!"
