DraftKings college football showdown picks November 21

I’m leaning towards Knight as the captain, which still leaves enough to put pretty much everyone we want in flex spots. Though he is in a timeshare, Knight has been the bulk of the carries over the last two games. Yates is very tempting, but that’s an all-or-nothing proposition. Knight’s floor is a lot higher than Yates.

Leary and Emezie are the safer picks but using one of them means only about $6,800 left per slot. That’s doable in a game like this and is the safest way to go at captain. If one of them goes off, you’ll be way ahead of those that punted the captaincy.

At any rate, I will have Emezie and Leary somewhere in my lineups. Knight as well. The tough part is going to be trying to decipher which Georgia Tech players to use.

I will probably still use Mason in a flex slot since he is guaranteed the most touches of anyone on either team. This is all about leverage. You have to have safe picks somewhere, and honestly, he’s the only Georgia Tech player that I really feel comfortable with. I think we see two different quarterbacks take snaps for Tech, so I’m working with five Wolfpack and Mason.

That’s the point at which using Knight as the captain starts to make the most sense. If you put in Mason with Leary and Emezie, you are pretty much forced into gambling on Yates and a kicker to get someone decent in the other flex slot. With Knight, you still have $6,650 for the last two flex slots.

If you aren’t comfortable with Yates, especially since he likely wont start, it’s fine to use at least one kicker here. There will be plenty of field goals. The Yellow Jackets have had some issues in the kicking game that seem to have ironed out lately.

I would suggest going with whatever build you’re comfortable with. Plenty of people are going to gamble with Tech, so I view a balanced NC State stack as contrarian. At least I hope it is. Good luck out there!
