Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay a way from on November 21 in NBA Daily Fantasy Sports on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s daily fantasy NBA lineup helper.

Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:

8 p.m. ET: Portland at Milwaukee
10:30 p.m. ET: New Orleans vs. Phoenix

How this works:

Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.

Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.

Studs

Giannis Antetokounmpo (vs POR – $10,600 on DK; $12,600 on FD): It’s a slow night and Giannis is the top salary with a great matchup. If you want guaranteed value, Giannis is by far your best option. He’s a guaranteed 50+ fantasy points and the ceiling is always higher.

CJ McCollum (at MIL – $7,500 on DK; $7,500 on FD): No Lillard makes things tougher for McCollum but someone has to get numbers for Portland, and it won’t be Carmelo. He’s played well the last couple of games and he’s a relatively cheap option with a high ceiling given the circumstances. The Bucks are weak against the position as well.

Devin Booker (vs NO – $8,500 on DK; $8,500 on FD): Booker can be a bit inconsistent but the matchup is great on Thursday as the Pelicans haven’t played defense all season. Booker should be in for a big scoring game while also coming up with plenty of assists.

Brandon Ingram (at PHO – $7,000 on DK; $8,900 on FD): Ingram picked up where he left off in his return from injury and is at a much lower salary than Holiday. He was playing excellent before the injury and the Suns are weak against the position. This is about salary management as Holiday can flirt with a triple double but it’s not worth the extra money when Ingram could offer the same total at a much cheaper price.
