DraftKings NBA picks November 22: The Butler did it
By Mike Marteny
DraftKings NBA Power Forwards:
Best Bets:
Anthony Davis ($10,100): Davis ate the Thunder alive on the interior on Tuesday, racking up 61.25 DraftKings points. This isn’t going to be any different. Davis had the highest DraftKings points output in that matchup, and I would tend to lean towards Davis over LeBron again tonight. You really can’t go wrong with either, but tonight we do have to pick and choose.
Kawhi Leonard ($9,500): The ceiling on Kawhi isn’t nearly as high as that of George, but Kawhi isn’t on a minutes restriction. Doc Rivers threw those to the wayside in a big time matchup against Boston, but they’ll be back in effect against Houston. George’s minutes limit should help the bottom line on Kawhi, but I still wouldn’t use him unless you’re using both.
Honorable Mention:
Kevin Love ($7,800): Dallas is weak up front, so Love should have himself a pretty good game. He put up 47.5 DraftKings points on them the first time around despite grabbing only eight rebounds. Love has become some semblance of his former self now that he’s the focal point of the offense again. That only helps his fantasy prospects going forward.
Jayson Tatum ($7,500): Tatum was the best offensive threat that Boston had on Wednesday night. I would expect Tatum to keep picking up the slack for as long as Kemba struggles. Denver isn’t an ideal place to attack, but Tatum’s skill set is good enough that he can be used against most teams. Boston needs his scoring, so I expect the usage to remain pretty high.
Kristaps Porzingis ($7,300): Porzingis isn’t the same guy that he was in New York. It may be a while before he gets back to that. However, he’s still putting up good numbers for the price. Porzingis put up 43.75 DraftKings points in the first game against Cleveland. My issue here is that Porzingis really has little upside right now. Tatum and Love could both blow him out of the water for the same price.
Dark Horses:
Lauri Markkanen ($6,000): If Miami has a weak spot on defense, it’s power forward. Part of that is James Johnson‘s current role. At any rate, this price looks really low for Markkanen. He has started to come around after a slow start, putting up 6x value at this price twice in the last three games. There is finally some upside here. It took him a while to get going last year as well.
Davis Bertans ($5,200): Bertans put up a huge stat line against his former team. Charlotte wont provide much resistance either. Bertans continues to play around 30 minutes a game for the Wizards and he does enough other things that the floor remains pretty good. His value is in his long-range shooting though. Bertans has at least three made triples in seven of ten games this season.
