A look at the live stream info, start time, match card and predictions for the 2019 edition of WWE Survivor Series.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and that means it’s once again time for WWE Survivor Series. For the last few years, one of the ā€œBig Fourā€ pay-per-views has beenĀ RAWĀ taking onĀ SmackDownĀ in a battle for brand supremacy but the 2019 edition brings a new twist as NXT enters the fray for the very first time, just one night after the TakeOver: WarGames pay-per-view on Saturday night. Only adding to the fun is that this year’s Survivor Series takes place at the Allstate Arena, which means a raucous Chicago crowd…which also means we’ll be getting plenty of ā€œCM PUNKā€ chants on Sunday evening.

While we’ll be seeing quite a few triple threat matches on Sunday night featuring champions and teams from all three brands, we won’t be seeing the world champions face one another as we have in the past. WWE Champion Brock Lesnar defends against Rey Mysterio, Universal Champion Bray Wyatt faces Daniel Bryan and NXT Champion Adam Cole will square off with a contender that’s yet to be decided…at least at the time of this writing.

So let’s dive into everything you need to know about the 2019 edition of WWE Survivor Series, including predictions for each and every match on the card.

How to watch WWE Survivor Series 2019

WWE Survivor Series 2019 match card and predictions

RAW Tag Team Champions The Viking Raiders vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day vs. NXT Tag Team Champions The Undisputed ERA

There’s certainly plenty of people out there that think The Revival should be in this spot representingĀ SmackDown Live but my guess is that The New Day winning those tag titles recently was Vince trying to make something up to Kofi Kingston after jobbing him out to Brock Lesnar on the FOX debut ofĀ Friday Night SmackDown. But I could be wrong on that. Either way, this should be a fun match if they’re given the time. There’s so much power with The Viking Raiders and Big E and Kofi and The Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly) bring some of the aerial maneuvers. As it is with the rest of these champion vs. champion vs. champion matches, there’s nothing on the line except bragging rights and that should make for some fun matchups.

Prediction:Ā Again, there’s nothing on the line here and a loss doesn’t hurt anybody so this could go in any direction. Even after having to participate in WarGames the night before, I still like The Undisputed Era here in somewhat of an upset.

United States Champion AJ Styles vs. Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura vs. NXT North American Champion Roderick Strong

Perhaps more than any other match on the Survivor Series card, this midcard champion matchup is one I’m really looking forward to watching. Just look at the participants here. AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Roderick Strong. What a time to be a wrestling fan, am I right? These are three of the most talented in-ring performers of the last 20 years and watching the three of them square off should be a treat for everyone. Expect the Chicago crowd to be especially hot for this one.

Prediction:Ā This is a very tough call but my gut is telling me that Styles is going to come out on top here. He’s gotten the better of Shinsuke so many times in the past (but if we don’t see at least one low blow attempt from Nakamura to Styles, I’m going to be upset) and Roderick Strong just doesn’t quite have the credentials of those two just yet. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson might be the difference makers in this one.

Triple Threat Survivor Series Men’s Elimination Match

Team RAW (Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, Drew McIntyre & Ricochet) vs. Team SmackDown (Roman Reigns, King Corbin, Ali, Shorty G & Braun Strowman) vs. Team NXT (TBA)

At the time of this writing, the NXT team has still not been announced but it seems to make sense that Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee and Matt Riddle would almost be locks and we certainly can’t forget about Finn Balor either. It’s very unfortunate that Johnny Gargano has been yanked from TakeOver due to an injury as there’s nobody that embodies NXT more than him. In any event, there’s going to be 15 huge names in this match and seeing some of these new matchups should be fascinating. There’s so many different stories that could play out, obviously including Rollins and Reigns on opposite sides and the fun mix of babyfaces and heels partnering up.

Prediction:Ā On paper, I like Team RAW here with all of the experience. Randy Orton is essentially Mr. Survivor Series and should be there at the end, as should Seth Rollins given his place in WWE at the moment. Strowman is always a tough elimination and he and Reigns would likely be the last two for the blue brand. Riddle is a wild card for NXT and could make a huge name for himself in this match. I just don’t see NXT coming out on top here, but I do see them putting up a great showing. Personally, I’d like to see Drew McIntyre as the sole survivor to start a monster push but that’s doubtful. But I still like the red team to win.

Triple Threat Survivor Series Women’s Elimination Match

Team RAW (Charlotte Flair, Natalya, The Kabuki Warriors & Sarah Logan) vs. Team SmackDown (Sasha Banks, Carmella, Dana Brooke, Lacey Evans & Nikki Cross) vs. Team NXT (TBA)

As it is on the men’s side, the NXT women’s team for this traditional Survivor Series elimination match has not yet been announced but they’re going to be strong no matter who gets involved. Shayna Baszler is obviously tied up for the night but with names like Bianca Belair, Io Shirai, Rhea Ripley and Candice LaRae out there, that team is going to be stacked. Charlotte Flair is obviously the big draw forĀ Monday Night RAWĀ but The Kabuki Warriors have been awfully fun to watch the last couple of months. Sasha Banks leads the blue team and Nikki Cross would likely be the only other person on that team with any real shot to be a survivor.

Prediction:Ā I think that Charlotte and Sasha renew their rivalry a little bit here and I think that costs both of them in the end as I see the women of NXT pulling off the upset here. They’re already making history with the first-ever Women’s WarGames Match on Saturday night and I think they make more history on Sunday.

NXT Champion Adam Cole vs. ???

With NXT being involved at Survivor Series for the first time, it only makes sense for the NXT Championship to be on the line at the event and this is a great showcase for Adam Cole…I’m sure it has nothing to do with wanting all these NXT stars to get some big-time exposure at a ā€œBig Fourā€ pay-per-view with the AEW battle happening now. But that’s good for wrestling fans. Adam Cole is a top-notch performer and he’ll get a big chance to shine. What we don’t know just yet is who he’ll be facing (again, at least at the time of this writing anyway). Pete Dunne, Damian Priest and Killian Dain will battle in a Triple Threat Match at TakeOver on Saturday night to determine who will face Cole at Survivor Series and that should be an amazing bout in itself.

Prediction:Ā I like Pete Dunne to win at WarGames and a Cole vs. Dunne matchup at Survivor Series would be incredible. There will be some great nearfalls in this match but I just don’t see Cole dropping the NXT Championship at this time. There could be some interference by the other members of The Undisputed Era to set up a screwy finish, which would be unfortunate. Whether by a DQ loss or a clean win, Cole walks out of Chicago as the NXT Champion.

WWE Champion ā€œThe Fiendā€ Bray Wyatt vs. Daniel Bryan

We’ve seen Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan battle in the past…and there’s certainly plenty of history between these two…but these are completely different characters from their feud all those years ago. I like the idea of ā€œThe Fiendā€ targeting Bryan as his first opponent onĀ Friday Night SmackDownĀ after winning the Universal Championship from Seth Rollins as it shows he’s willing to go after the best in the business. This has the potential to be one of the best matches of the night if pulled off correctly.

Prediction:Ā What I’d love to predict and actually come true is this match NOT taking place under those ridiculous red lights. It’s not pleasant at all and nobody likes it. It can’t make actually wrestling under them that much fun either. The Universal Championship isn’t red anymore and Wyatt’s matches shouldn’t be either. While I think Bryan will come a little closer to beating Bray than Rollins did, it wouldn’t make much sense to take the title off of Wyatt this quickly. He’s been built as this unbeatable monster and this match should still reflect that. Bryan comes close but Bray leaves with the title.

RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley vs. NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler

I hate to say it because I’m really enjoying this new version of her but Bayley kinda seems like the third wheel here. Becky Lynch and Shayna Baszler have simply been fantastic with their back and forth thus far. There’s a sense of reality to it with Baszler wanting to prove herself and Becky has been the hottest thing in wrestling for more than a year and there’s just a lot of intensity here. But I don’t want to count Bayley completely out of it. She’s proved that she can run with this new character and while it hasn’t been as much as the other two…at least in my opinion…she can run with these two and should add an exciting element to this matchup. Except for maybe the Styles/Shinsuke/Strong match, this is the match I’m most excited about.

Prediction:Ā This could go so many different ways. Becky Lynch absolutely does NOT need to win this match. She’s done so much in this past year that a win here actually might not make sense. She doesn’t need this rub right now. Bayley probably needs this win more than anyone and I could see a scenario where that actually happens. With all of the animosity between Lynch and Baszler, those two could just beat the hell out of each other for the majority of the match and then Bayley could just slide in and pick up a cheap win, which would fit her character. But I’m actually going to pick the NXT Women’s Champion here. As I said, Becky doesn’t need to win this match…but there’s obviously a good chance that she could. So I like Baszler picking up the win on Bayley. Sure, it knocks Bayley down a peg but she’d still be SmackDown Women’s Champion. But this would be a life-changing win for Baszler. And it sets up a one-on-one with Becky down the line. Becky can claim that she wasn’t the one to get beaten and that’s how you get there. Looking for a fantastic battle from these three.

WWE Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Rey Mysterio (No Holds Barred, No DQ)

And then there’s this one. I do not like the fact that this will probably close out the show but I would think that’s what we’ll see. Look, I like the story here. Brock attacks Rey and his son. Rey brings in Lesnar’s old nemesis, Cain Velasquez. But Velasquez can’t get the job done so Rey is going to take on Brock himself. It’s fun. It’s nostalgic watching Rey battle for the WWE Championship. But is this a matchup anyone really wants to see anymore? Yes, I am intrigued with the fact that Brock could set distance records with the German suplexes…let’s pretend we live in a world where Lesnar actually throws Rey from inside the ring all the way to the second row. Okay, maybe that’s too much. The No Holds Barred/No Disqualification stipulation was thrown in for a reason and that’s the only logical way Mysterio can win.

Prediction:Ā Mysterio isn’t going to beat Lesnar cleanly. There’s just no way that happens. For Rey to win, we could see Velasquez interfere to cost Brock the WWE Championship. We could also see Dominick get involved to help his dad. However, if Dominick is getting involved, it could go the other way as well. Perhaps they run the Rocky Balboa storyline where the son doesn’t want to be overshadowed by his father and Dominick turns on Rey, which would be glorious. Lesnar wins and goes away until the Royal Rumble while Rey has to turn his attention to Dominick. That’s a clean exit to the program and that’s what I’ll go with.
